Court Orientation and Sun Glare
Nobody in this market publishes this, and it is a safety point rather than a preference. USA Pickleball’s own guidance is that courts should be oriented north to south outdoors to avoid players looking directly into the sun during morning or late-afternoon play, which it identifies as a common safety hazard.

Multi-Sport and Shared-Use Courts
One slab carrying more than one sport is now the common request, usually pickleball added to an existing tennis court or a basketball court doing double duty.
It works, and the thing that makes it work is color and line-weight discipline: each sport’s lines in a distinct color, with the primary sport’s lines given visual priority so play is not ambiguous. Beyond about three overlaid sports the surface starts to read as noise, and we will say so.
