What Sports Court Striping Includes
Sports court striping is the layout and line-marking of play surfaces — pickleball, basketball, tennis, and playground games — on existing asphalt or concrete. We mark full regulation courts, convert or overlay one sport onto an existing court, and paint the numbered grids and game lines that turn a school or park slab into a play area. What we do is the striping; we are marking the lines, not resurfacing or building the court.
Pickleball Court Layout & Dimensions
Pickleball is the one people ask about most, and its dimensions are fixed by the sport’s governing body. A regulation court under the USA Pickleball rulebook is 20 feet wide by 44 feet long — the same footprint for singles and doubles — with a seven-foot non-volley zone (the “kitchen”) on each side of the net. Around that, the sport recommends a larger total playing area so players have room to move safely behind the baseline.
Because a pickleball court is smaller than a tennis court, we can often fit one or more onto an existing tennis or basketball surface. We lay the lines to the USA Pickleball spec so the court plays true.
Multi-Sport & Playground Markings
Many properties want more than one game on a single slab. We overlay pickleball on tennis, mark a half-court or full basketball key, and add hopscotch, four-square, and other playground games in bright, kid-friendly colors. For basketball we follow standard court dimensions, and tennis lines follow the USTA layout; multi-sport courts use a different line color for each sport so players can pick out their court at a glance. - Cure. We let the lines set before the court goes back into play.
