It was November 12, 2004 when the pilot of a U.S. Army Helicopter pilot in Iraq was hit by an RPG. The RPG exploded in the Pilots lap, vaporizing the Pilot’s right leg, while leaving the left leg and right arm of the pilot severely damaged. After the crew of this helicopter realized the pilot was not killed, the pilot was rushed to a combat hospital in Baghdad.
